Abstract

The rate of independent mobility of Italian children is by far lower than in other countries. The positive experiences carried out after the approval of the Children’s rights convention have been losing a national legislative framework. The chapter introduces the children’s autonomy as unperceived right, whose lack questions the concept itself of city liveability from an educational viewpoint.
