This paper focuses on developing a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system prototype for experimental teaching activity. Part of the testbed is equipped with pneumatic actuators and limit switches, representing the controlled process and serving as the SCADA system’s focal point. In addition, the testbed includes a PC for programming. Therefore, all functions of the SCADA system will not only be manageable in different ways but also aim to simulate real-world industrial applications. In the field of industrial automation, SCADA systems, which emerged in the second half of the 20th Century, continue to play a critical role in supervising and controlling industrial operations, ensuring efficient and reliable process management. Providing practical experience with such systems in an academic setting is highly beneficial, as the developed system will be easily accessible and operable. Thanks to several components, this will allow students to explore and interact with the system’s potential, given its expandability and versatility for various applications.
