Abstract
The CSC (Consiglio Superiore Coloniale) was established to centralize the advisory activity of several previous organisms. The purpose of the present text is to explore how far the CSC produced a coherent legal perspective. The opinions of the CSC show that colonial subjects were recognized and defined only through, and thanks to, other affiliation profiles. Besides the obvious territorial distinctions, several other differentiations recur, mainly the “ethnic” or “tribal” ones, the legal ones, the “cultural” ones. These additional affiliation profiles were the point of reference, but they were not based on any predetermined legal categoryFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
