The Riote du Monde is a paradigmatic case of plastic textual identity. The vari- able configuration of the versions we can study in the context of the manuscript books in which they were copied offers an interesting example of a plastic tradi- tion. The very concept of recensio, the foundation of any scientific edition, is in this case an hypothesis to be demonstrated.
