This article discusses the digital gender gap and the action plans to be implemented to overcome the phenomenon. The digital gender gap is a global phenomenon characterized by differences in access and use of new technologies between male and female genres. In the field of access to and use of digital technologies, gender plays a key role, and in the ICT sector, with a strong male prevalence, gender disparity is even more pronounced than in other contexts, both formative and professional. Specifically, after investigating the global phenomenon, we look at the current situation in Europe and Italy and identify the perspectives for resolving the problem.
