In 2004, Francis Geus entrusted me with research on the Holocene prehistory at Sai Island within the Mission archéologique de l’île de Saï (Soudan) that he directed. During 2004 fieldwork, we visited together the sites that had been previously surveyed on the island. Those days with him have been fundamental in order to devise a research plan with short- and long-term objectives. His deep knowledge of the archaeology of the island has been the most valuable and irreplaceable opportunity for drawing a comprehensive outline of the later prehistory at Sai.

Abstract
In 2004, Francis Geus entrusted me with research on the Holocene prehistory at Sai Island within the Mission archéologique de l’île de Saï (Soudan) that he directed. During 2004 fieldwork, we visited together the sites that had been previously surveyed on the island. Those days with him have been fundamental in order to devise a research plan with short- and long-term objectives. His deep knowledge of the archaeology of the island has been the most valuable and irreplaceable opportunity for drawing a comprehensive outline of the later prehistory at Sai.File in questo prodotto:
