The role carried out by technology and by company innovation , in the current competitive economic scenario , needs to be investigated into together with operation of the company system, with a view to achieving the objectives of a monetary and non monetary nature. In this specific case, introduction of the innovation or use of some forms of technology in production, management and administrative processes allows for differential results to be achieved compared with those of their direct company competitors. Asset innovation is qualified as a main element of processes and products belonging to the company and to the organizational model adopted: for example, in the network model , due to the effect of joint action of the aggregated companies, some structural gaps are filled in favour of the birth of drive-innovation. On a much more frequent basis, contemporary companies decide whether or not to operate in the network, collaborating with their competitors, with a view to achieving a common objective. In this sense, the advantages deriving from aggregation are, for example, use of economies of scale in an attempt to reduce production and sales costs; concentration of purchasing processes of raw materials, of goods and of services; the acquisition of tangible and intangible assets, that cannot be achieved in any other way on the market; division of company risk, the achievement of a certain dimensional level with a view to creative competitive strategies; the possibility of undertaking internationalization processes; the overcoming of limits in terms of norms and the possibility of influencing specific dynamics. The objective of this chapter is to carry out research into companies from the provinces of Frosinone and Latina, starting with an analysis of their characteristics and proceeding through the identification of their innovative skills. In other words, research is finalized at qualifying the bond that exists between companies located in the provinces mentioned above and the forms of best practice adopted by them, with a view to achieving a profitable competitive differential and the creation of joint value on a long term. Therefore, on the basis of a questionnaire created ad hoc, this chapter illustrates the method of investigation adopted with the purpose of identifying the sample of analysis, the method of construction of the questionnaire and its methods of administration, concluding with some useful observations for possible future developments in research.
