The use of renewable sources to satisfy energy requirements appears to be of remarkable importance in terms of sustainable development as it contributes towards a reduction in expenditure in natural resources (petrol, carbon etc.) and relative emissions into the environment. The production of energy from renewable sources will be limited until these sources are able to compete with the traditional fossil ones. The development of electricity from wind power first of all depends on its economic convenience. This thought lies at the basis of the present case-study whose objective is to analyse the economic, environmental and social feasibility of the wind power station of Viticuso-Cervaro- Vallerotonda (FR).
