This chapter deals with the potential of origin-linked agrifood products, by connecting them to entrepreneurial orientation. More precisely, by adopting a condition-strategy-performance approach and by considering the initiative of valorization of an origin-linked product (the Sugarloaf Pineapple) through a geographical indication in Ghana, the chapter explores the applicability of a collective entrepreneurial strategy. The results confirm the importance of a valorization strategy grounded on origin-linked agrifood products in developing countries. The analysis also indicates that the entrepreneurial identity of the farmers involved in the initiative is key to the success of this strategy.

Abstract
This chapter deals with the potential of origin-linked agrifood products, by connecting them to entrepreneurial orientation. More precisely, by adopting a condition-strategy-performance approach and by considering the initiative of valorization of an origin-linked product (the Sugarloaf Pineapple) through a geographical indication in Ghana, the chapter explores the applicability of a collective entrepreneurial strategy. The results confirm the importance of a valorization strategy grounded on origin-linked agrifood products in developing countries. The analysis also indicates that the entrepreneurial identity of the farmers involved in the initiative is key to the success of this strategy.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
