The Italian national standard of absorbed dose to water in medium-energy x-rays, with generating voltages from 100 to 250 kV is a graphite calorimeter in a water phantom and is exposed to radiation dose rates of about 0.15 \mathrm{~Gy} / \mathrm{min}. The paper aims to improve the measurement accuracy of the quantity absorbed dose to water, Dw, by optimizing the measurement settings employed during the experimental procedure. With these improvements, the quasi-Adiabatic calibration factor Kqa was re-determined and its type A uncertainty component was reduced, compared to previous reports.

Abstract
The Italian national standard of absorbed dose to water in medium-energy x-rays, with generating voltages from 100 to 250 kV is a graphite calorimeter in a water phantom and is exposed to radiation dose rates of about 0.15 \mathrm{~Gy} / \mathrm{min}. The paper aims to improve the measurement accuracy of the quantity absorbed dose to water, Dw, by optimizing the measurement settings employed during the experimental procedure. With these improvements, the quasi-Adiabatic calibration factor Kqa was re-determined and its type A uncertainty component was reduced, compared to previous reports.File in questo prodotto:
