In particular, we examine pottery from various perspectives: pottery as a transformative technology, the new trajectories in pottery studies, pottery as a means of culinary traditions, its ontological meaning, and its multiple symbolic, social, and cultural purposes. We tackle global denominators within local narratives and highlight how transformative technologies have the potential to create radical changes in the way human populations live and interact with each other. Ultimately, we conclude the chapter with our reflections and expectations for the future of worldwide pottery research among foragers.
