Boxes and Shelves for Future Generations. Showcasing Paolo Beni's Papers (1623-1625)

The essay focus on Paolo Beni's library in the last years of his life. The owner of this books and papers collection decided to build and preserve his memory as an excellent scholar outside his home. In the first paragraph, taking the city of Padua as a starting point, the article show the reasons that kept him tied to this geographical context, the seat of his university. The last two paragraphs has been devoted to the setting up of his paper heritage (the custodians of his memory-on-papers and the material arrangement in shelves and boxes, lightings and the setting up of the reading rooms).
