Power to methanol is an interesting power to fuel option since methanol has a lot of applications and decarbonising its production is very important in the perspective of a green future. In the present chapter, conventional and innovative methanol production routes are examined and compared, considering both state-of-the-art and literature studies. Different kinds of reactors and their main characteristics are reported and compared.
