The concept of leadership represents a strategic element in contemporary reflection, mainly if analysed with the fundamental 'guiding' concepts of a sociological matrix: the group and the role. These concepts can be good tools for recognising the possibility of best exercising one's leadership within a group or a social context. Analysing the concept of group and the function of the role to be filled is very important for exercising leadership and facilitating collective learning, especially within the digital society, where there is serious difficulty in transforming the information we receive (infodemic) in knowledge. Among the fundamental elements of this 'adaptation' of the leadership to the social contexts of reference, we also identify gender equality to promote social justice. It is essential to develop a climate favourable to social innovation in a transdisciplinary key within educational contexts, enhance the skills present in the various work environments, optimise the organisation and achieve objectives for improving the participants' quality of life in the working group. The aim is to emphasise the relationship between the object of study, leadership and the reference context with which to relate, identifying, instead, a leadership connected to the environment through transdisciplinary skills and networks between people and institutions.
