Il Tevere ed il commercio del legno a Roma nel XVIII secolo

This article has studied the timber traffic in Rome in the 18th century, that allows to obtain information about the condition of the whole urban economic system. In fact, in the absence of innovations able to save on energy consumption, to a phase of growth of the economy must match an increase in the use of the timber. Thus the efficiency of distribution channels of the wood and the trend of consumption are important indicators of the level of economic development.
