Starting from a general literature review of the most common techniques for the reliability analysis and assessment, subdivided into bottom-up and top-down approaches, an application to different configurations of electric and hybrid vehicles was developed. In particular, the focus was the powertrain, considering the critical aspects to achieve the reliability goal for the whole system, through Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The considered top event was the vehicle stop. A sensitivity analysis and a comparison between the different configurations were conducted, getting the basis for future developments and deeper analyses

Abstract
Starting from a general literature review of the most common techniques for the reliability analysis and assessment, subdivided into bottom-up and top-down approaches, an application to different configurations of electric and hybrid vehicles was developed. In particular, the focus was the powertrain, considering the critical aspects to achieve the reliability goal for the whole system, through Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The considered top event was the vehicle stop. A sensitivity analysis and a comparison between the different configurations were conducted, getting the basis for future developments and deeper analysesFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
