In this work, synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of a Gd/Li co-doped Barium-cerate perovskites are briefly reported. By using Li as a sintering aid, a full densified proton-conducting electrolyte has been obtained with lower calcination and sintering temperatures, as well as shorter soaking times. Our results show that: i) a pure and perovskite lattice structure was obtained, ii) the sintered microstructure was dense and compact, and iii) good electrochemical properties were prospectively met for application in low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (LT-SOFCs).

Abstract
In this work, synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of a Gd/Li co-doped Barium-cerate perovskites are briefly reported. By using Li as a sintering aid, a full densified proton-conducting electrolyte has been obtained with lower calcination and sintering temperatures, as well as shorter soaking times. Our results show that: i) a pure and perovskite lattice structure was obtained, ii) the sintered microstructure was dense and compact, and iii) good electrochemical properties were prospectively met for application in low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (LT-SOFCs).File in questo prodotto:
