A seat can provide useful attenuation of vehicle vibration. Attenuation depends on following factors: the characteristics of the vehicle motion, the vibration transmibility of the seat and the sensitivity of the body to vibration. In order to analyze ride performance. It is proposed the time domain analysis of longitudinal and vertical accelerations evaluated at flor, cushion and back of seat in off road condition. In this study two comparisons are offered to estimate attenuation of vehicle vibration. The first comparison concerns the weighted vibration magnitudes between agricultural tractor and a model of car. The second comparison examines SEAT values between Scraper Caterpillar 612B and a model of a car.
