A novel method for the reduction of the truncation error in near-field measurements is proposed. The approach is based on an overcomplete representation of the field generated from a suitable “modeling” of the uncertainties affecting the antenna under test and on the successive selection of a suitable set of basis functions by means of the orthogonal matching pursuit method. Selected numerical and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

Abstract
A novel method for the reduction of the truncation error in near-field measurements is proposed. The approach is based on an overcomplete representation of the field generated from a suitable “modeling” of the uncertainties affecting the antenna under test and on the successive selection of a suitable set of basis functions by means of the orthogonal matching pursuit method. Selected numerical and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed technique.File in questo prodotto:
