During the excavations conducted by the Museum of Aquino in S. Pietro Vetere four fragments of cosmatesque pavement related to the S. Costanzo’s church were discovered. The stratigraphy, although disturbed by the continuing farm works, has highlighted two different pavement phases. In the following article are presented, in chronological order, the different decorative patterns found during the excavations and, most likely, related to the transept of the church. At present it is impossible to understand the extension and the articulation of the building. “Building A”, found during the excavation along with a series of cist tombs, seems of great relevance for the history of the area during the centuries. Innovative surveying techniques were applied fot the graphic documentation of the walls and the pavements of the church.
