Here some preliminary data on the effects of the exposure of Phaseolus vulgaris L. seeds to 2.45 GHz electromagnetic field (EMF) at 40 mW/g for 5 minutes. The effects were assessed on the root growth of seedlings during the early germination and on the above-ground growth of mature plants. No significant differences were observed in seedlings and plants exposed to EMF compared to control.
