Abstract
Professionals in the tourism, specifically those who work in marketing and promotion, are well aware of the different types of travellers and try to appeal to their tastes and preferences by catering to their cultural and personal interests in travel. The link between tourism and English which, being the global lingua franca, not only corners the market in regards to negotiations and transactions that take place in choosing a destination, but also functions as a creator of specific interpretive linguistic forms. The aim of this paper is to link the above perspective to a more accurate study of the role of language in the construction of tourist encounters with the destination health and identify and decode examples of current terminology related to the worlds of medical and wellness tourism.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
