This paper is aimed to reconstruct the history of a particular flow of immigrants, the Italian Jews of Libyan origin that almost fifty years ago, expelled from their country, settled in Rome. People from Tripoli, unlike other immigration flows from abroad in Rome, were able to benefit when they arrived of a powerful factor of integration in the host society. The presence in Rome of an old and well-established jews community helped their residential inclusion in the city. We wish to analyze a series of elements such as the strategies of residential settlement of the Jews of Libyan origin or their economic integration. Using the information available by the Historical Archives of the Jewish Community of Rome, the article presents an overview of the nature of archival sources and quantitative basis from which it is possible to define some characteristics of the Jewish presence in the Italian capital
