In this work gadolinium doped ceria (Gd–CeO2) powder have been synthesized by a novel simple and low cost sol gel method. The synthesized and calcined (at 600°C) powders were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction analysis (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Nanocrystalline powders of pure cubic ceria have been obtained.

Abstract
