In this work the COD distribution of circumferential cracks in pipes, off-centered placed with respect to the bending plane, was investigated experimentally. Thick and thin pipe geometries have been analyzed examining different crack lengths and off-axis angle values. The COD distributions have been measured by means of digital image correlation (DIC) technique and used to validate an analytical model (HCM Hodograph Cone Method) proposed by the authors
