The work exposes the results of a study which has lead to the implementation of a new management methodology of the production lines and of the production times based on punctual and specific recording of the times. The proposed methodology, named K.I.M.-KOSU Improvement Management, aims to combine the advantages of a methodology employed in many automotive companies, as the Kosu is, whose strong points are the simplicity of the approach and of the reading for the line operators- with the precision of traditional methods, much more expensive and difficult to elaborate and to manage for the line operators. Such a new methodology has been applied to a production line in order to check its efficiency, and the results have been extremely satisfactory as it is evidenced in the proposed work.
