The energetic field has always been object of prime interest for National State:. being considered essential under the economic profile, and strategic under the political one. In the E. U. a deep reform process is underway, which aims to achieve: a full opening of the energetic markets; the establishment of a common European Market; an economic dimension and an eye on innovation unequaled to other industrial division: Energy, in its current state. represents a strong and severe penalizing factor in the Italian economy in terms of competitiveness of our foreign productions. The reasons far such weakness and criticality are directly related to the strong dependence from fossil sources (about 85%). worsened by a high fiscal incidence which translates in a high level of energy prices, much above the European average. The key elements are: to promote renewable sources and energy saving programs; to favor technological research and innovation on clean coal and the use of natural gas; to develop a more efficient integration between environmental protection and energetic policies.
