In the halls of the library of the Royal Palace of Caserta, desired by Queen Maria Carolina of Austria in 1768, along with numerous volumes of various topics, there are two terrestrial globes by the de Vaugondy and a collection of maps depicting both the ancient and the modern world preserved. Some of these cards, both for their rarity and quality, unique documents and witnesses are privileged interests of the crown to the territory and the territory's history. Apart from the study of documents made in the nineties of the nineteenth century, there is still an annotated catalog of the precious heritage map.
