This paper illustrates an application of the R.A.M.S. (Reliability Availability Maintainability Security) analysis to a cooling hydraulic plant of a system technologically complex. In particular, the analysis was fulfilled for the cooling system of the conical nozzle, which is a constitutive element of the Plasma Wind Tunnel (P.W.T.). The aim of the paper is to make the cooling system efficient: by identifying the critical elements; by determining events and consequences; by taking into account an optimum solution of the project.

Abstract
