In EU, there is a limited understanding of the building stock. As a consequence, various measures have been introduced to better assess the performance of buildings. A key component of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is the Energy Performance Certificates (EPC), which will be enhanced by the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI). However, EPCs have not yet fully realized their potential to drive energy savings. The EU-funded LIFE project “tunES” brings together seven national energy agencies from EU Countries and four technical partners (academia, research and consultancy), focusing on the analysis and standardization of the EPC and the SRI. The consortium organized five key blocks in the development of policy packages: (1) Understanding EPC, (2) Upgrading EPC, (3) Databases and Tools, (4) SRI Development and Deployment, and (5) Integration of Instruments. Based on the EU Better Regulation Guidelines (BRE), a survey amongst key stakeholders and experts was carried out. The aim was to identify the current state of EPCs and SRIs in the seven Countries participating to the “tunES” project, relating to the five policy packages. The present work shows the first outcomes obtained from the 236 survey responses.

Abstract
The present work shows the first outcomes obtained from the 236 survey responses.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
