This study proposes a novel measurement method for pollutant detection in wastewater expressly developed for nanostructured sensors based on a graphitic membrane. The novelty of the proposed method is the definition and use of new figures of merit obtained from the time analysis of Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy used to train a classification algorithm. Preliminary performance analysis, carried out in laboratory environments, in terms of detection capability is presented, considering various concentrations of an industrial pollutant (benzoquinone). The analyses are also conducted under different noise conditions to assess scalability and applicability in real industrial scenarios.

Abstract
This study proposes a novel measurement method for pollutant detection in wastewater expressly developed for nanostructured sensors based on a graphitic membrane. The novelty of the proposed method is the definition and use of new figures of merit obtained from the time analysis of Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy used to train a classification algorithm. Preliminary performance analysis, carried out in laboratory environments, in terms of detection capability is presented, considering various concentrations of an industrial pollutant (benzoquinone). The analyses are also conducted under different noise conditions to assess scalability and applicability in real industrial scenarios.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
