This paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of tourism in the light of the approach provided a methodological systemic vital to ascertain which are the conditions and factors that contribute to the competitiveness of business operators. Among these will be referred, in particular, and to smaller companies and describe how the tourism business, like other businesses, should be prone to aggregation phenomena that stimulate stable interaction between economic agents and therefore, should consider propensity toward organizational forms such network among local companies. In this context, we propose to identify the critical factors supporting the competitiveness of tourism businesses, proposing a conceptual matrix to assist in the evaluation of different weights to be attributed to specific factors as appropriate. The work, finally, investigates conditions of vitality of the network of tourism businesses, looking for factors that can give competitive dynamics and facilitate the fluidity of the processes of value creation on a territorial basis.
