This paper presents a comparative study of the teeth of a 12-slot/l0-pole Dual Stator Single Rotor (DSSR) Axial Field Flux Switching Permanent Magnet (AFFSPM) Machine. This study compares back EMF, cogging torque, electromagnetic torque, and other parameters for the AFFSPM machine with different rotor teeth shapes. The complete study is performed using 3D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for three rotor teeth shapes including rectangular teeth, trapezoidal teeth, and overhung rectangular teeth shapes, to keep the comparison fair, the volume and design parameters of the rectangular teeth model, trapezoidal teeth model, and overhung rectangular teeth model are kept constant. The machine parameters including THD, cogging torque, torque ripple, magnetic flux density, EMF, and electromagnetic torque are compared. The results show that the overhang trapezoidal teeth model's back EMF and electromagnetic torque are improved due to the rotor overhang.

Abstract
The results show that the overhang trapezoidal teeth model's back EMF and electromagnetic torque are improved due to the rotor overhang.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
