Due to the high profile of the permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM), it is widely used in industrial applications. The robustness, high power density, and low response time characteristics make PMSM motors more feasible for the aerospace industry. Due to the necessity of the many actuating operations in aerospace, small PMSM motors are one of the best candidates. Since weight is very crucial for the aerospace industry, coreless motors are used for lower motor weight. In this study, the methodology of designing a coreless micro PMSM is developed, and a simulation study is performed to enhance the average torque by the overlapping winding shapes evaluated from rhombic shape to hexagonal shape. Finite element analysis is used for simulations. A parametric study is performed to make the comparison.

Abstract
A parametric study is performed to make the comparison.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
