This paper compares the optimal energy and efficiency performance achievable by a Wireless Battery Charging System (WBCS) employing coil pairs with different configurations. The analysis is based on behavioral models of mutual inductance and a coil-specific optimal control strategy, which allows the WBCS to reach maximum energy transfer and efficiency for each coil configuration. An 85 kHz Series-Series WBCS is considered, using four coil configurations with identical windings but different ferrite arrangements.

Abstract
This paper compares the optimal energy and efficiency performance achievable by a Wireless Battery Charging System (WBCS) employing coil pairs with different configurations. The analysis is based on behavioral models of mutual inductance and a coil-specific optimal control strategy, which allows the WBCS to reach maximum energy transfer and efficiency for each coil configuration. An 85 kHz Series-Series WBCS is considered, using four coil configurations with identical windings but different ferrite arrangements.File in questo prodotto:
