Edizione critica delle Rime di Giovan Mario Crescimbeni

Oggetto della tesi è l’edizione critica delle Rime di Giovan Mario Crescimbeni, tra i fondatori e primo Custode dell’Accademia dell’Arcadia. L’edizione è basata principalmente sui manoscritti autografi conservati nell’archivio dell’Arcadia presso la Biblioteca Angelica e sulle tre edizioni a stampa del 1695, 1704 e 1723. Il testo è corredato da un’introduzione volta a delineare la storia editoriale delle Rime, alcuni macrotemi, come quello della funzione sociale della poesia e dei legami con il potere, e il rapporto con le fonti e i modelli letterari precedenti.

The subject of this thesis is the critical edition of the Rime of Giovan Mario Crescimbeni, one of the founders and first Custode of the Accademia dell'Arcadia. The edition is mainly based on the autograph manuscripts preserved in the Arcadia archive at the Biblioteca Angelica and the three printed editions of 1695, 1704 and 1723. The text is accompanied by an introduction aimed at outlining the editorial history of the Rime, some macro-themes, such as the social function of poetry and the links with power, and the relationship with earlier literary sources and models.
