In the context of Non Destructive Testing, this paper discusses a novel methodology based on dimensional analysis for simultaneous estimation of physical and geometric parameters of interest. Specifically, it focuses attention on the problem of si-multaneously estimating the electrical conductivity of conductive samples and the lift-off present between the conductive sample and the eddy current probe used for analysis. The proposed approach is based on the most important theorem of dimensional analysis, namely Buckingham's π theorem, by which it is possible to reduce the complexity of the analysis of the problem under consideration. By doing so, it was possible to develop an effective methodology compatible with real-time estimation applications. In this work, this methodology was validated through analysis in a simulated environment, also considering experimentally characterized measurement noise, in different case studies in terms of thickness. electrical conductivity, and lift-off.
