In this paper, an accurate and efficient method for the analysis of the scattering by a conducting circular split ring is presented. By means of a conformal mapping the problem is first transformed to the analysis of a rectangular patch, and then formulated in the spectral domain as a system of Electric Field Integral Equations. The solution is obtained by means of Galerkin’s method with expansion functions reconstructing the expected physical behavior of the unknown at edges, thus achieving the regularization of the problem, as proved by the error decaying.

Abstract
In this paper, an accurate and efficient method for the analysis of the scattering by a conducting circular split ring is presented. By means of a conformal mapping the problem is first transformed to the analysis of a rectangular patch, and then formulated in the spectral domain as a system of Electric Field Integral Equations. The solution is obtained by means of Galerkin’s method with expansion functions reconstructing the expected physical behavior of the unknown at edges, thus achieving the regularization of the problem, as proved by the error decaying.File in questo prodotto:
