These conclusions suggest the adoption of a new criterion of the perturbative type to analyze the absorption by such kind of structures. In this paper, a new parameter for the analysis of the absorption by a holed resistive plane when a plane wave impinges on it is inferred by a specifically devised generalized formulation of the Optical Theorem.

Abstract
