Climate change is accelerating, and the impact of global warming is felt more and more by all communities, in particular on health. This is the topic of this work: pato-climatology (‘patoclima’ in Italian). We present a review of the current state of the climate and of its impact on a range of health conditions. We discuss some of the key conclusions of the latest reports by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and propose that, only via a transdisciplinary approach, we can make progress towards net-zero emissions by 2050. A transdisciplinary approach that needs to consider physical, biological and sociological aspects, that could identify all the key facts of climate change. Only with such an approach we can move forward the agenda with the necessary speed.
