Many mathematical models of the vertical apparent mass of the seated human body are developed in scientific literature. In this research we propose a three–degree–of–freedom model to distinguish upper body movement and lower body movement respect to support in vertical axis. The optimum parameters of mathematical model are obtained by Broyden–Fletcher–Goldfarb–Shanno (L-BFGS–B) and Levenberg–Marquardt algorithms to solve nonlinear fitting of the modulus of the apparent mass.

Abstract

Many mathematical models of the vertical apparent mass of the seated human body are developed in scientific literature. In this research we propose a three–degree–of–freedom model to distinguish upper body movement and lower body movement respect to support in vertical axis.
