The problem of balancing of a production line, has been considered and studied many times, but without a real possibility of application. In fact, there aren’t techniques able to provide unique and effective solutions, although it is essential to solve this kind of industrial problem. The difficulty in finding a general methodology able to satisfy each type of system, depends on the complexity and multiplicity of production parameters. Therefore, the topic is still studied and very interesting for production managers. The main aim of the present work is to propose a new technique of balancing, in particular for assembly lines, simple and effective. Initially, we compared the main techniques present in the literature, from many points of view. Subsequently, we defined the principal characteristics of the balancing problem and highlighted the positive and negative aspects of each method analyzed. Finally, we propose a new technique able to integrate some of the above methods and improve their effectiveness.
