In eddy-current testing, a given time-varying current flowing in the excitation coils induces eddy currents in the conductive specimen under inspection. The electrical resistivity of the specimen affects the induced eddy currents density and, consequently, the magnetic flux density measured by the receptive coils. To apply the monotonicity principle, the sensor has to be made of an array of coils. The available data consist of measurements of the impedance matrix (self and mutual impedances between coils of the array) . In this paper we propose an experimental validation of a fast non-iterative imaging algorithm based on the monotonicity principle, developed by the authors, applied to eddy current tomography.
